Ring and Ride Minibus

• This is an accessible minibus which provides a door to door service into local towns over a two-week cycle.
• The return fare is only £3.00

Note: Passengers do not have to be aged or infirm to use this service, they only need not to have other appropriate transport available to them at the time that they wish to travel. To make use of the service passengers must register, and then give at least 2 working days notice if they wish to travel. The service operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Torridge CTA currently operates a Ring & Ride bus Service to some 36 parishes in northern Torridge.

The cost of the journey is £3.00 return, with the bus collecting passengers from their home from 9.30am (unless stated), the Bus then takes passengers into a local town for shopping etc.

Please ring the booking line between 9.30 and 12.30, Monday to Friday, giving at least 2 working days notice.

RETURN JOURNEY FROM TOWN APPROXIMATELY 12.30PM.

• Please phone at least two working days before you wish to travel.
• When you ring, please tell the co-ordinator if you require a wheelchair space or if you need to bring someone with you.
• The Co-Ordinator will confirm the approximate pickup time from your home. Please be ready for the driver to collect you.
• Please pay the driver the fare when you get on the bus.
• The driver will tell you when to be ready for the return journey and where he will pick you up.
• Please ensure that you are back at the pick up point on time.
• Companions can also use the service if you need their help at the destination.
• First pick up time from home approximately 9.30 am.
• Return journey from town approximately 12.30pm.
• Drop-off /pick-up points in the towns; [subject to arrangement with the driver]
• Bideford; - Morrison’s, the Pill. Barnstaple; - Shopmobility Centre, supermarkets by arrangement. If you require the Shopmobility services, they can be booked separately on 01271 328866
• To make use of this service, you do NOT need to be elderly, or have mobility problems.
• You only need not to have appropriate transport at the time that you need to travel.
